17 Years of fun

It’s September 27th, which means today is the anniversary of MiniDrivers. The series that was born as a different way to see motorsport is now celebrating 17 years with us.

During this time, many things have happened, and I’ve always said that the best is yet to come. And like every year, it’s time to talk about the new features of your favorite series. Put your helmet on, because we’re starting!

Let’s begin with the season finale, something that many of you often look forward to even more than the races themselves. Since last year there was a certain issue that prevented me from continuing normally, this year I can confirm that Mini for Speed is back for a new season. The karts will return as the farewell of the season in an episode full of excitement, team changes, strategy mistakes, chaos, and lots of fun. Of course, with the reveal of Dark Mini that will surely surprise more than one of you.

We move on with more news and talk about the upcoming season. I’ve been announcing for some time that the series will have a complete redesign for 2026 — it’s time to update the Minis, and I warn you the change will be quite big, but the spirit will remain intact. It’s a pleasure for me to show you the first images of how MiniDrivers and MiniBikers will look next season.

And to finish, I want to share something more personal with you. Last year we went through the loss of a baby, which was one of the reasons I had to pause the series. And earlier this year, in April, we faced another very difficult moment when I almost lost my wife after finding out she was pregnant, but the baby was growing outside the uterus and she had to undergo emergency surgery.

That’s why today, with great joy, I can finally tell you that we have another baby on the way and so far, everything is going well ❤️. Our little Nuria can’t wait to introduce you to what could be her new little brother or sister, and I couldn’t be happier to share this with all of you, who have been part of this Minis family for 17 years.

Thank you for supporting this series during these 17 years, and I hope to share many more moments with all of you. Next year, I’ll do my best to live up to your expectations with the new designs, and I truly hope we can enjoy exciting races together with your favorite characters.
