After claiming pole position and dominating Saturday’s sprint, the Ducati rider controlled the main race from start to finish, securing his thirteenth career victory at the German circuit and moving to within just 18 points of championship leader Jorge Martin.
From the moment the lights went out, Marquez wasted no time asserting his authority. He launched cleanly from pole and immediately opened a small gap over the chasing pack, setting a relentless pace that none of his rivals could consistently match. Ai Ogura capitalised brilliantly, producing another mature ride to secure second place, while Raul Fernandez completed an outstanding day for the American squad by finishing third. Further back, Pedro Acosta delivered one of his strongest recoveries of the season to finish fourth after fighting his way through the field. Championship leader Jorge Martin endured a more difficult afternoon, eventually crossing the line in fifth after spending much of the race defending from Francesco Bagnaia. The Aprilia rider managed to limit the damage, but Marquez’s victory significantly tightened the championship battle heading into the second half of the season.
The German round also featured its share of drama. Fabio Di Giannantonio and Joan Mir both crashed out, while Marco Bezzecchi was forced to watch from the sidelines after suffering a broken collarbone in Saturday’s qualifying accident. Their misfortune opened the door for several riders to score valuable points and further reshuffled the championship standings before the summer break.
