The sprint race in Brazil was anything but straightforward, as the action in Goiânia was delayed by more than an hour due to serious track surface issues. A large hole discovered near the start-finish straight forced race control to halt proceedings while emergency repairs were carried out. Once the surface was deemed safe, the riders finally took to the grid, but the unusual circumstances left everyone uncertain about grip levels and race conditions.

When the lights finally went out, Fabio Di Giannantonio made the most of his pole position and immediately took control of the race. The Italian rider looked comfortable at the front, setting the pace and trying to build a gap, while Marc Márquez slotted into contention and began studying his rival. Behind them, Jorge Martín and Marco Bezzecchi positioned themselves for the fight for the podium, creating a tight leading group in the early laps.
As the race progressed, Di Giannantonio continued to lead, managing the pace while Márquez stayed close without overcommitting. The Spaniard appeared patient, aware that tire wear and track evolution could play a decisive role in the closing stages. Meanwhile, the battle behind intensified, with Martín eventually gaining the upper hand in the fight for third place after a series of aggressive moves.
The decisive moment came in the final laps. With just a few laps remaining, Di Giannantonio made a small but costly mistake, running wide at one of the final corners. Márquez seized the opportunity instantly, diving through to take the lead in a perfectly timed move that completely changed the outcome of the race.

From that point on, Márquez controlled the situation with precision, resisting any late attempts from behind and managing the gap until the checkered flag. Di Giannantonio tried to respond but had to settle for second place, finishing just a fraction behind the winner, while Martín secured a well-earned third position to complete the podium.
At the finish line, Márquez claimed a significant victory, marking a strong comeback after recent injury struggles and adding another sprint success to his record. The race not only highlighted his racecraft and experience but also set up an intriguing main event, with several riders proving they have the pace to fight at the front under unpredictable conditions.
