The first crash of the day was for Karel Abraham who could continue when he was on the points, but had to retire after a few laps. Meanwhile we saw how Marc Marquez overtook Andrea Dovizioso and entered to the podium and tried to overtake Rossi and Lorenzo, but he ran away of the track and lost the position that he took against Dovizioso, but he did again the same a few laps later, overtaking Dovizioso and Rossi.
Cal Crutchlow, who was also fighting for the points during the whole race, ran out of the track when he was chasing Dani Pedrosa who started to show a great pace and overtook Maverick Viñales and Andrea Dovizioso without problems. He did also the same with Valentino Rossi and entered to the podium.
On the final laps Marquez overtook Jorge Lorenzo and took the first position. Lorenzo tried to attack him, but it was impossible to recover the lead of the race. Also Pedrosa started to get closer to Lorenzo and overtook him.
