MotoGP – Aragon GP – Qualifying

Third round in Spain for MotoGP with the Aragon Grand Prix at Motorland Aragon. The qualifying session has just finished and the riders are getting ready for the race tomorrow.
Valentino Rossi finally raced this weekend after breaking his leg at the start of the month while he was making enduro. On their first lap Lorenzo and Miller were at the top of the qualifying with Abraham, Zarco and Rins close to them. Abraham improved his time and took the second position on his second lap while Lorenzo was still in front. Final changes on the bikes and the riders are ready to make the final lap at Aragon. Miller took again the second position but Zarco improved the time of the australian rider. Chequered flag an no one could beat the time of Lorenzo and Zarco who will go to Q2 while the lowest part of the grid will be completed with Miller, Pol, Abraham, Petrucci, Baz, Folger, Barbera, Rins, Rabat, Redding, Smith and Lowes.
Time now for the second round of qualifying. Marc Marquez is the only poleman in Aragon since he’s in MotoGP and will try to get it again this year. Marquez, Iannone and Kallio were the fastest riders on their first lap, being a quite surprise for the wildcard at Aragon. Viñales and Lorenzo were coming in red helmet being the rider of Ducati the one who took the fastest time of the day, but Marquez improved the time of the number 99 and was again on provisional pole. Three different teams on the first 3 positions with Marquez, Viñales and Lorenzo on top before going to boxes to make the final changes on their bikes.
Final minutes of the session and everyone was improving their times… But Marquez crashed on the final 2 minutes, so everyone had to improve the times and we saw how Valentino Rossi was on provisional pole. All the positions were changing and now it was Viñales who was on provisional pole. Kallio and Bauitsta also crashed after the chequered flag and couldn’t improve his time.
Pole position for Maverick Viñales with Jorge Lorenzo 2nd and Valentino Rossi on an awesome 3rd position with a broken leg. The Q1 grid was completed with Crutchlow, Marquez, Pedrosa, Dovizioso, Aleix, Bautista, Iannone, Zarco and Kallio.
Tomorrow there will be a thought fight for the victory at Aragon while everyone is still impressed with the result of Valentino Rossi. Will be able to fight for the victory until the end? We will know tomorrow. Stay tuned to know what will happen in Aragon tomorrow.
