Marco Bezzecchi delivered a masterful performance at the 2025 British Grand Prix, securing his first victory since the 2023 Indian GP and marking Aprilia’s inaugural win of the season. The race at Silverstone was fraught with drama, beginning with a red flag due to an oil spill following a crash involving Franco Morbidelli and Aleix Espargaró. After the restart, polesitter Fabio Quartararo took the lead but was forced to retire due to a ride-height device failure, leaving him visibly devastated.

Bezzecchi capitalized on the chaos, managing his tyres expertly and maintaining composure amid the shifting race dynamics. He crossed the finish line over four seconds ahead of LCR Honda’s Johann Zarco, who secured his second consecutive podium. Marc Márquez, despite an earlier crash, mounted an impressive comeback to clinch third place in a photo finish with Morbidelli, thereby extending his championship lead over his brother Álex Márquez by 24 points.
