The Spanish Grand Prix in Jerez was historic not only for MotoGP but also for Álex Márquez, who achieved his first-ever MotoGP victory — marking the first time that two brothers have both won in the premier class.
Álex secured the win after overtaking Fabio Quartararo, who had started from pole position, while his main rival for the race, Marc Márquez, suffered a crash and had to fight his way back to score points.
With this result, Álex Márquez also takes the lead in the MotoGP World Championship, holding just a one-point advantage over his brother Marc, who will be looking to recover those lost points at the next race
