Some riders were trying different strategies, like Viñales going for three stints like last week’s qualy.
Final minutes of the session and riders started to push harder, as Nakagami has another crash on the same córner like at the last free practice session. Yamaha were showing Its potencia once again, as Viñales went the fastest on track, with Quartararo being close. But the Pramac Ducati showed some hidden tricks, as Miller went second fastest and Bagnaia crossed at the fastest lap, even lower than the high 1’30.00’s, but eventually his lap was invalidated due to abuse of track limits at the last turn. Quartararo closed the front row at third fastest. And Bagnaia was demoted 5th place, between Pol Espargaro 4th and Brad Binder 6th respectivetly.

Another qualy session ends with Viñales leading the pack once again, as he’ll need to take advantage of it on tomorrow’s race, if he wants to have a shot on the championship. With the calendar having less races to go, riders would need to push harder if they want a chance to get the title, on this unusual and close season.
