MotoGP – San Marino GP – Race

After 2 great races at Spielberg and Silverstone, it was turn of Misano World Circuit, and Im sure to say that this weekend’s race kept the momentum and intensity of previous 2 races. Overtakes, battles and another close end to the chequered flag.

Green lights turn on and it was Viñales who took the early lead of the race, chased by Quartararo, Marquez, Rossi, Morbidelli y Pol Espargaro. The Surprising was seeing Viñales losing pace ahead and eventually losing the lead to Quartararo and Marquez.

As laps passed by, Fabio Quartararo was only dealing with Marc Marquez behind, as both separated from the rest of the riders of the grid. Another interesting battle was the one for 4th place between Valentino Rossi and Franco Morbidelli. Crashes were also present at many points of the track

Last laps and the Petronas Yamaha of Quartararo wasn’t showing weakness against the Respol Honda of Márquez. But as we know it, Marquez usually finds the way to be competitive even at circuits that doesn’t have clear advantage.

As the Cervera rider was getting closer to the lead. Marc made a move and hold that lead against the Yamaha of Fabio. As this last one tried to regain the lead, didn’t found a space to make a move.

Marquez wins again after two hard 2nd places on consecutive weeks and pretty much seals another title after Dovizioso finishes 6th. Viñales closes the last step on podium and Rossi won that battle with Morbidelli for the 4th place.

Race Results:
