MotoGP – Austrian GP – Race

Willkommen in Österreich! It’s back to back race weekend. It’s time for Austrian GP. In previous races in Spielberg all wins went to Ducati, can someone stop Ducati? Can Márquez conquer the land where he never had won? Let’s find out together.
Another epic race in Austria. We saw again battle between Dovizioso and Márquez. After great start for both Dovi and Marc they almost crashed in turn 3 that exploited Fabio Quartararo who took the lead in the race. Leading group till Lap 9 had 5 riders, Fabio, Dovi, Marc, Miller and Rossi, in Lap 9 Miller crashed, Fabio wasn’t able to follow pace of Dovi and Marc. In Lap 10 Marc took the lead and he dictated pace, which Dovi followed without bigger problems, till Lap 19 when Dovi attacked Marc in turn 1 and overtook him. 3 laps before the end Marc attacked back but Dovi didn’t lost his concentration and in the last lap in the last turn attacked Marc and won another Austrian GP. Dovi made same attack that Marc tried on him in 2017. Fabio finished 3rd. Rossi made successful defense on Viñales to keep 4th place which is his best result since Austin. Marc failed again to win in Austria although he was big favourite after dominant qualifying.
