MotoGP – Catalan GP – Qualifying

We arrived to Spain again, time for the second of the four rounds, and it’s time for Barcelona with the Catalan Grand Prix, at the Circuit of Barcelona Catalunya. The spanish fans are cheering to their favorite riders, but only one of them is able to get the pole today at Montmeló.

During the first session of qualifying there were a lot of riders who could get the first two positions, being Petronas and Pramac the favorites to get the first two positions. Nakagami and Bagnaia were the fastest riders during the first minutes of the session. Miller, who tried to improve his time but he crashed, but was able to return to his box and fight for the first two positions. Iannone had also problems, his Aprilia stopped on the exit of the pit-lane but could do a lap. Chequered flag and it was Morbidelli and Mir the fastest riders of the session. The lower part of the grid was completed with Bagnaia, Miller, Abraham, Nakagami, Aleix, Zarco, Rabat, Oliveira, Syahrin, Smith, Guintoli and Iannone.

Time for the second round, at it’s time to stop Marquez, the bets were open with Petronas and Ducati boys, but Petrucci was out of the equation when he lost the front part of his bike and crashed while both Petronas were on top during the first minutes of the session.  It was looking quite good for the black boys, but Marquez was chasing them. Chequered flag and it was Fabio Quartararo who got the pole position with Marquez 2nd and Viñales 3rd. The rest of the Q2 grid was completed with Morbidelli, Rossi, Dovizioso, Petrucci, Rins, Crutchlow, Lorenzo, Mir and Pol Espargaró.

Petronas Yamaha has a good chance to get their first victory tomorrow at Barcelona, but Marquez won’t let them do it so easily. Who will get the victory at the Catalan Grand Prix? Stay tuned because MiniBikers can’t wait to show you who will win the race tomorrow.
