ABB Formula E – Berlin EPrix – Race

The ABB Formula E championship is heading into the final rounds and today in Berlin we saw a great party for Germany: Nico Rosberg tested the Gen2 car, Audi took a 1-2 victory and it was Daniel Abt who finished in 1st position, a perfect day for them.
Daniel Abt started on pole on his home EPrix. Jerome D’Ambrosio who started 3rd, had a bad start and was losing positions on the first laps. We had so much action during the first part of the race with so many battles on track like Evans and Bird, Heidfeld and Lopez against Piquet and Sarrazin with Da Costa against Lynn.
On top positions Di Grassi overtook Vergne and was on podium, also Buemi made the same to Vergne who was thinking about the remaining races of the season. Di Grassi also overtook Turvey and was now Audi with a 1-2 on his home race.
After the pitstop, Turvey was overtaken by Buemi and Vergne. The french driver also overtook Buemi, recovering the positions that he lost.
During the last laps, Piquet overtook Rosenqvist and Heidfeld. He also tried to overtake Lopez, but he made a mistake and both drivers lost a few positions.
Daniel Abt won the Berlin EPrix with Lucas Di Grassi 2nd and Jean Eric Vergne 3rd. The top 10 was completed with Buemi, Turvey, Evans, Bird, Engel, Lotterer and Heidfeld.
Now it’s time to head to the final 2 tracks of the season with the Zurich EPrix in three weeks. Stay tuned because this new track will give us an exciting race.
