The first group of qualifying was composed by Bird, Buemi, Di Grassi, Rosenqvist and Abt. The session went without problems, Buemi and Di Grassi were fighting for the championship, Buemi came as the fastest driver on track, but Di Grassi was not going to leave him being the pole sitter.. Buemi took the provisional pole with, Rosenqvist, Di Grassi, Abt and Bird completing the positions.

Piquet, Conway, Prost, Evans and Lopez will be the drivers on track for the Q2. The drivers were coming faster, specially Lopez, but the drivers lost the time on the last sector. Buemi, Lopez, Rosenqvst, Evans and Prost were now on the top 5 positions.

Time for the Q3 and Sarrazin, Vergne, Gutiérrez, Turvey and D’Ambrosio will be trying to make the best time of the day. Two national drivers were making their qualifying at Paris and will try to be on top for their fans. Turvey made an awesome lap finishing second, but just on the last sector, Sarrazin stopped his car. Vergne could make his lap and reach the second position too. Now the top 5 had Buemi, Vergne, Turvey, Lopez and Gutiérrez.

Last qualifying group with Dillmann, Heidfeld, Frijns, Da Costa and Carroll. It was the debut of Dillmann in Formula E, so the eyes were on his progression. Heidfeld was the only driver who was not on track, waiting for the perfect moment to make his lap. None of the drivers could reach the top 5. On the last minute Heidfeld hit the track and tried to make the best lap, taking a lot of risks during his lap finishing 6th.

Esteban Gutiérrez was the first driver to make the super pole lap but he made a mistake and had a 1:13.287 lap time. Jose Maria Lopez was the second driver to make the super pole lap, but his lap was slower than the one that he made before, but faster than Gutiérrez, he stopped the clock at 1:02.640. Turvey was the third driver to make the super pole lap and he finished behind Lopez on provisional second position with a 1:02.910 lap time. Vergne’s turn at his home ePrix and on his attempt he locked the front tyres but he was coming faster than Lopez, he finished the lap with a time of 1:02.325. being 3 tenths faster than Lopez. The last one, Buemi, he was trying to beat the great time of Vergne, and he was making a closer time than the french driver, stopping the time at 1:02.319.
