Rookie Fermin Aldeguer pulled off a stunning performance to win his first MotoGP Grand Prix. He rode with composure and authority, breaking away after lap 10 and cruising to the finish with a comfortable margin. In doing so, he became the second-youngest winner in MotoGP history.

Pedro Acosta put in a strong ride to finish in second place, holding off late pressure from rivals and making the most of Marquez’s retirement. Álex Márquez completed the podium in third, backing up his teammate’s win in a solid Gresini team result.
The race was overshadowed early on by a dramatic crash: Marc Márquez and Marco Bezzecchi collided at Turn 7 on the opening lap. Bezzecchi clipped the rear of Marquez’s Ducati, sending both into the gravel. Bezzecchi walked away, but Marquez was in visible discomfort and eventually taken to the medical centre.
Initial scans revealed that Marquez sustained a suspected fracture in his right collarbone (or shoulder area). Ducati confirmed the injury, and Marquez is to travel to Madrid for further examinations and treatment.
With this result, Aldeguer earns a historic first win, while Marquez’s season now faces uncertainty depending on the severity of his injury. The Indonesian GP will be remembered not just for the rookie’s triumph, but also for the high stakes consequences of that early crash.
