Marco Bezzecchi overcame an early setback to snatch a dramatic sprint victory at Mandalika. Despite a poor start from pole, he methodically charged through the field and executed a decisive move on the final lap to take the win.

Fermín Aldeguer led for most of the race and looked set to become the youngest sprint winner in MotoGP, but had to settle for second as Bezzecchi overtook him in the closing corners. Raul Fernández claimed his first MotoGP sprint podium in third place, converting a strong qualifying into a solid result.
Marc Márquez had a challenging day: he started from ninth on the grid, made progress early, but was handed a long-lap penalty for contact with Alex Rins—dropping him back to finish seventh. Meanwhile, Francesco Bagnaia underperformed—he qualified outside Q2 and finished 14th in the sprint—and Pedro Acosta crashed out from second place on lap five.
With this result, Bezzecchi not only boosts his sprint record but also helps Ducati clinch the Teams’ World Championship thanks to strong cumulative performances this season. The drama in the sprint also sets the stage for an intriguing main race tomorrow.
