As the petronas yamaha went for a move on Viñales, he´ll eventually make a mistake and went to the ground at turn 4, returning at 20th place at the tracka and compromising his leadership at the championship, Rins eventually would overtook Viñales, who was starting to struggle on pace after the 10th lap of the race; Even losing position with Bagnaia and Rins and Mir.

Morbidelli started to go away of Rossi, as the Italian-Brazilian started to separate from the principal Yamaha of Valentino Rossi by +1.0 second and increasing. Meanwhile Rins and Bagnaia started to get closed to Jack Miller, the provisional 3th place at the moment and eventually overtook him, as the Aussie also had pace issues.

As Morbidelli was gone away with the lead by +2.0 seconds, the battle was getting intense for the 2nd position, as Rossi started to hardly defend the attacks of Bagnaia and Rins for the next 10 laps to go, as Il Dottore was avoiding every approach from Bagnaia, untill eventually the italian rider made a move on Valentino and took 2nd place from him, but battle was still hard. Even on the last laps, Joan Mir joined the party, as he overtook his teammate Alex Rins and made a last lap move on Rossi, getting quite close to took the second place from Bagnaia. But was a turn short to make a move. as the Spaniard crossed 3rd, the Pramac rider Francesco Bagnaia 2nd and Franco Morbidelli took his maiden win at the main category.
