Another great race that we enjoyed at the ABB Formula E championship in Marrakesh with exciting battles, unexpected moves, great comebacks and much more at the electric championship.

Antonio Felix Da Costa started on pole followed by Guenther and Lotterer. D’Ambrosio, who made a nice start on the first meters, started to lose positions until he was out of the top 10. Vergne on the other side, had to make a comeback this time, reaching the points without problems and overtaking more drivers.

The first penalties didn’t take so long to appear, with a Drive through penalty for De Vries for overpower during regen and another one for Ma Qing Hua for jump start. Also Turvey and Mueller received the same penalty for a technical infraction.

In the front, Vergne recahed the top 5 after overtaking Buemi and a few moments later overtook Mortara. Behind them, D’Ambrosio and Calado were fighting, something that Lucas Di Grassi used to overtake both drivers at the same time.

Minutes were running, and Mortara was also overtaking a few drivers, with Buemi and Lotterer, but the best comeback was for Vergne, who could overtake Guenther and reach the 2nd position. During the final minutes of the race Guenther and Vergne were fighting for the second position with Buemi staying close to them. Finally Guenther made it and overtook Vergne taking the second position.

Victory for Antonio Felix Da Costa, the first one with his new team, being the 5th different winner this season with Maximilian Guenther 2nd and Jean Eric Vergne 3rd. The top 10 was completed with Buemi, Mortara, Evans, Di Grassi, Lotterer, Rowland and Bird.

That’s it for now, but the action won’t stop. This time the next race will be in 1 month in Rome while the Sanya E-Prix was cancelled. Stay tuned because we have more updates to come.
