MotoGP – Aragon GP – Qualifying
Back to back race weekend! It’s turn of the 14th race of the calendar and 3rd in Spanish lands. The Motorland of Aragon is ready for another year of MotoGP racing.
During the first qualifying we saw some riders on problems, as they needed to pass first over this session instead of being already on Q2; Morbidelli, Rins, Petrucci were some of these riders. As first stint ended, it was Rins and Morbidelli who were getting trough at that moment, followed closely by Nakagami, Iannone and Rabat
Second stint was ahead, as Rins tested a Medium-Hard tyre compound trying to improve times, but saw him on a problem as Morbidelli and a surprising Iannone were taking the place on next session. Rins had some attempts to improve his times, but wasn’t unable to lower the time of the Alpiria rider. Another dissapointment was Petrucci, who hasn’t been competitive on the official Ducati after his maiden win at Mugello

Q2 went green and battle for pole started, as riders hit the red sectors om track. Viñales, Miller, Quartararo and Morbidelli were showing good potential on the first minutes of the sesion. But then Marquez smashed the session with a super lap; being more than a half second faster than the second place of the standings.
Last minutes of the session, but no one was getting closer to the lap time of Maquez, although there was some battle for first row, with Viñales, Morbidelli, Quartararo and a surprising Alpiria of Aleix Espargaro; like his brother last week, was Shining on track with a limited bike. Fabio Quartararo also stand out from the rest, by having a strong lap closed to the lap Marc Marquez did. The letdown was Dovizioso, Morbidelli and Rossi who never found a competitive pace on this session.

Good qualifying session that shows another dominant performace from the Cervera rider, but still there are some riders on the grid that could give a surprise at the race. Tommorow will find out.
