MotoGP – Aragon GP – Race

The Aragon Grand Prix is now story and the it’s time now to start thinking about the asian rounds of MotoGP. The championship advantage increased for Marc Marquez after this race but there are still so many races to go to see who is the champion of this season.

Maverick Viñales started on pole position, but as we are used to, Jorge Lorenzo made a superb start, overtaking everyone and taking the first position. Valentino Rossi who started also on first row, overtook his teammate Maverick Viñales who was also overtaken by Dovizioso and Marquez. During the whole race we saw a battle between the top 4 riders for the victory and after that Viñales with a long train of riders behind him.

The first crash of the day was for Karel Abraham who could continue when he was on the points, but had to retire after a few laps. Meanwhile we saw how Marc Marquez overtook Andrea Dovizioso and entered to the podium and tried to overtake Rossi and Lorenzo, but he ran away of the track and lost the position that he took against Dovizioso, but he did again the same a few laps later, overtaking Dovizioso and Rossi.

Cal Crutchlow, who was also fighting for the points during the whole race, ran out of the track when he was chasing Dani Pedrosa who started to show a great pace and overtook Maverick Viñales and Andrea Dovizioso without problems. He did also the same with Valentino Rossi and entered to the podium.

On the final laps Marquez overtook Jorge Lorenzo and took the first position. Lorenzo tried to attack him, but it was impossible to recover the lead of the race. Also Pedrosa started to get closer to Lorenzo and overtook him.

Also during the final laps Valentino Rossi was chased by Andrea Dovizioso who was overtaken by Maverick Viñales. The teammate of the doctor attacked the number 46 and he overtook him a couple of laps later, making a top 4 spanish riders this race.

Marquez won the Aragon Grand Prix in front of his teammate Dani Pedrosa and Jorge Lorenzo finishing the podium. The top 10 was completed with Viñales, Rossi, Aleix, Dovizioso, Bautista, Zarco and Pol Espargaró.
