MotoGP reached Europe with the first of the four rounds in Spain for the Spanish GP at Jerez, the capital for motorsport. The weather helped during the qualifying session and we enjoyed a great battle for the pole position.

Andrea Dovizioso was the big name that we had during the Spanish GP, and the favorite at Q1 for being at the top. Sam Lowes started with problems on his bike and had to wait until his second bike was ready. Alex Rins, who is not fit for the race this weeked was replaced by Tsuda. Iannone and Aleix were the first riders on top during the first minutes, but everyone was coming really fast on track, the first positions were changing in every lap, and we can had two spaniards and top, and ten seconds later we had two italians, everything could happen. The session continued without problems and we reached the chequered flag without crashes and a really equal battle for the top 2 positions. Andrea Iannone and Alex Espargaró finished on the first top positions and the low part of the grid was completed with Petrucci, Dovizioso, Pol Espargaró, Smith, Bautista, Rabat, Abraham, Baz, Barbera, Lowes and Tsuda.

Yamaha, Honda and Lorenzo were the favorites for the first row for Q2 this weekend and we the high temperatures helped to them to improve even mroe their times. Marquez, Pedrosa and Lorenzo took the first row of the grid on their first attempt, but Iannone, thanks to Lorenzo’s rear tyre, overtook him on third position. Pedrosa came really fast on his second lap but he couldn’t improve the last sector. Viñales appeared and took the third position. It was clear that Repsol was going to take the pole position, but a good rear tyre could change everything.

Final minutes of the session and again Iannone was using Lorenzo’s rear tyre. Aleix Espargaró crashed on turn 2 and he only could be 12th for tomorrow’s race. The Honda riders were improving again their times while Crutchlow took the third position. This time Pedrosa was faster than his teammate and he was on provisional pole position.

Pole position for Dani Pedrosa with Marc Marquez 2nd and Cal Crutchlow 3rd. Crutchlow had a small probelm when a bee attacked them during his qualifying lap. The rest of the grid of Q2 was completed with Viñales, Iannone, Zarco, Rossi, Lorenzo, Folger, Miller, Redding and Aleix.

Tomorrow the Honda riders will fight for the second victory of the year. Who will get it? Pedrosa or Marquez? Or will another rider win the race? The answers tomorrow.
