MotoGP – French GP – Race

LeMans is always famous for polemics and crashes. During the whole weekend we saw so many crashes in all 3 categories, and in MotoGP we also saw so many problems to some riders.

Johann Zarco started on pole on his home Grand Prix but he made a bad start, something completely different as Jorge Lorenzo, who overtook all the riders and was on 1st position after the first turn. Andrea Iannone had problems and crashed a couple of turns later.

Marc Marquez and Valentino Rossi who were under the top 5 positions, overtook Danilo Petrucci, but the italian rider had a battle with Valentino.

Bautista and Rabat crashed at the early laps of the race, something that also happened with Andrea Dovizioso after overtaking Lorenzo and become the leader of the race. The Ducati rider had to retire from the race after that crash, and this also happened with Johann Zarco when he was having a battle with Marc Marquez.

At the front Lorenzo, who was leading the race, started to lose positions and lap after lap was going backwards, being out of the top 5.

With Marquez leading the race, the battles stopped and we didn’t see so much battles, except Viñales and Rins who overtook Aleix Espargaró, or Syahrin who had a personal battle with Mortara.

Marc Marquez won the French GP and increased his advantage at the championship. Danilo Petrucci and Valentino Rossi finished at the podium. The top 10 was completed with Miller, Pedrosa, Lorenzo, Viñales, Crutchlow, Aleix and Rins.

The next round of the championship will be in two weeks at Mugello. Dovizioso and Zarco will try to decrease the advantage of the Spaniard, will they be able to do it? The answer will be in two weeks.
