Moto GP- DOHA GP- QUalifying
The second round of the 2021 MOTOGP calendar comes as a double header at the Losali International Circuit. As Ducati bikes were looking to take advantage of the top speed on straight lines, meanwhile Yamaha and Suzuki were looking to keep up on the previous sessions before the qualy session started. Although the track conditions have been an issue for every rider on the grid, as strong wind currents and humidity have significally affected the perfomance of the teams on the free practices.
First Qualyfing session saw again the defending champion Joan Mir having to take the long route through Q2, as Alex Marquez, Pol Espargaro, Nakagami, Lecuona, Oliveira and Rossi were some of the notable names that have to show on the hunt for Q2. At the starting minutes, Joan Mir got ahead of the rest on provisional 1st place, alongside the KTMs of Brad Binder and Danilo Petrucci just some tenths behind. Second stint saw Danilo Petrucci, Alex Marquez and Luca Marini getting a provisional spot on Q2 or at least very close to it, but Joan Mir showed strong sectors on the technical part of the circuit and crossed first on the session. Meanwhile the second spot was still contested, at the final attempt, Miguel Oliveira advanced to the next session with a great lap. Valentino Rossi had a nightmare of session as the Italian couldn´t found a good mapping on the bike and finished 21th.

Suzuki looks similat like last year, with complicated Qualys but strong races. Honda has a lot of ground to recover after a quite hard start of their season. A lot could happend though, the season is just starting.
