Mitch Evans started the race on pole, clean start during the first corners but when we arrived to the thought part of the circuit, crashes happened and Neel Jani had to pit to made some changes in his car. The Techeetah drivers showed a great pace during the first minutes of the race, overtaking Alexander Sims, but the BMW driver fought against Lotterer, who was also overtaken by Daniel Abt. Sims was not lucky and a few minutes later had to retire due a problem in his car, causing a quick full course yellow.

The first crazy moment arrived 10 minutes after the start of the race, when De Vries closed the door to Sam Bird, who had to brake and was hit by Abt, causing the british driver to spin, losing positions against Abt, Rowland and D’Ambrosio. Even Müller almost hit Bird when he was trying to overtake the drivers. Rowland, due the impact that he had with Abt and Bird, lost the cover of the front tyre and lost a lot of time.

In front, there was a battle between the top 4 drivers. Günther used the attack mode to get close to Wehrlein, while Mortara was fighting with the BMW driver, meanwhile Evans, who was in front, started to lose time against Wehrlein, who was overtaken by Günther… But the BMW driver also used his attack mode to overtake Evans and took the lead of the race.

Between teammates there were also problems, because Massa and Mortara fought during a lot of minutes, and Massa lost the position, not only with his teammate, he also lost it with Da Costa, Vergne and De Vries. Felipe tried to recover time, but he made a mistake when he tried to overtake De Vries and run out of the track. Venturi was not lucky, because some minutes later it was Mortara who started to lose time against the other drivers, and before he realized, he was out of the top 10.

Again in front, Vergne who was chasing the first drivers, had a mistake and the cover of his tyre started to hit the ground, causing a big smoke. Da Costa used that to get closer to his teammate and try to overtake him… But Vergne didn’t help Da Costa and closed the doors, causing the Portuguese driver to lose a lot of time against Evans and Günther, but finally he could overtake his teammate who retired a few moments later.

Da Costa showed an awesome pace during the final minutes of the race, chasing and overtaking Evans with an awesome speed, and making the same with Günther, but the German driver tried to stop the Techeetah… but it was impossible. Just in the final lap, Günther was able to attack again Da Costa, overtaking him and taking the victory.

First win for Maximilian Günther in Formula E with Antonio Felix Da Costa and Mitch Evans in third position. The top 10 was completed with Wehrlein, De Vries, Vandoorne, Di Grassi, Abt, Calado and Buemi… But before the drivers arrived to the parc fermé, a few penalties arrived for Abt, D’Ambrosio and Buemi… Making those drivers to lose the points and reach the top 10 to Massa and Bird.

The next round of the championship will be in Mexico in less than one month. Are you ready to see who will get the victory at the 4th round of the championship? Stay tuned because the electric championship is getting even more exciting!
