MotoGP – Aragon GP – Qualifying
Aragon is the third of the four Spanish rounds of the MotoGP championship and the riders are ready for a great fight at Motorland Aragon. Marquez who has a great advantage against his rivals, could relax on a Grand Prix where he gave his name to the turn 10 of the track. Wanna know what happened at the qualifying session? Riders like both Yamaha boys had to do the fight of Q1 so they were the favorites for the top 2 positions. Viñales and Morbidelli were on the top during the first minutes of the session with Rossi on 5th position. Chequered flag and te fastest riders of the session were Viñales and Nakagami. The lowest part of the grid was completed with Morbidelli, Zarco, Aleix, Smith, Abraham, Rossi, Syahrin, Luthi, Redding, Simeón and Torres.
Helmets on and it’s time for the second round of qualifying at Aragon where at the first attempt it was Marquez who made the fastest lap, not only of Q2, also of the whole weekend, followed by Petrucci and Viñales. Lorenzo arrived with his Ducati and took the second position while the number 93 was coming again improving his times and making a lap 0.014 faster.
Final talks with their mechanics and road to the track to improve the 1.46.960 of Marquez. With just one minute to go, anyone was improving their times, making slower laps than before, but with the chequered flag, everyone was starting to improve their time, even beating the one of Marquez. Crutchlow crashed and couldn’t improve his time. Dovizioso improved Marquez’s time, something that also happened with Lorenzo who took the pole.
Jorge Lorenzo will start the Aragon GP in pole position with Andrea Dovizioso second and Marc Marquez third, the Q2 grid was completed with Crutchlow, Iannone, Pedrosa, Petrucci, Bautista, Rins, Miller, Viñales, Nakagami.
Tomorrow the Ducati will try to take out some points against Marc Marquez, but the Spaniard want to end the weekend with a victory. What will happen at Aragon? Stay tuned and tomorrow you will know.
