MotoGp– Czech Republic GP – Race

Another amazing race from this amazing season of MotoGp. A race with overtakes, crashes and a close finish between the championship leader and the Ducati Riders.

At the start, it was Valentino Rossi who take the best part of it and entered the first corner as leader, but it was soon overtaked by the poleman, Andrea Dovizioso; Meanwhile at the back, Viñales, Brald and Smith were involved at the first crash of the race after some corners of the opening lap. mostly of the riders remained at the place where they started.

After some laps the race remained with a group of 10 riders with the strong pace chasing up the race leader Dovizioso, with some ocasional battles between them such as Marquez vs Lorenzo or Crutchlow vs Petrucci; also with the two last crashes of the race by Scott Redding and Tito Rabat, who ended a promising race with an unfortunate mistake.

As the race hits the equator, 3 Riders were on the battle of 1st place; Dovizioso, Marquez and Rossi were close to each other with the fastest lap times, but eventualy Rossi´s Yamaha would suffer of its lack of pace that has shown during the season; Crutchlow overtakes him and takes his place at the provisional podium.

5 laps to go and the drama sharply increase as the future Honda driver Jorge Lorenzo gain 3rd place from Crutchlow and entered the battle for the victory, as he on next lap he pretty much attempted the “manouver of the year” as he overtook marquez and then did the same with his current teammate, but the Italian defended the position properly and manage to defend the lead untill the checked flag showed up and claim his 2nd victory of the year.

Awesome race with a 1-2 of ducati and another podium finish to keep a strong advantage at the championship for Marquez; Rossi took 4th place after a brillant move against Crutchlow and still shows a competitive spirit even when his bike is far from being competitive. The rest of the standings were Petrucci, Zarco, Pedrosa, Bautista, Iannone, Rins, Miller, Morbidelli, Syahrin, Aleix. Esp., Luthi, Nakagami, Abraham, Guintoli, and Simeon respectively; Rabat, Redding, Smith, Viñales and Brald were the retirements as mentioned before.

Next week we head to the Red Bull ring, to the 11th race of the season in Austria. Can the Ducati riders close the gap and re-enter the race to the championship? who is the biggest threat for Marquez to the championship? only time would tell us the answer.
