MotoGP – 2018 Qatar Grand Prix

MotoGP is back with a new season. Qatar was the opening race of the championship for another exciting season and the race didn’t disappoint us at all. Andrea Dovizioso achieved the first victory of the season but Marquez finished really close to him.
Johann Zarco started the race on pole position and defended the first position after the start against Marquez and Pedrosa, who made a great comeback from the 7th position… but the Spaniard lost 5 position after a couple of laps. Valentino Rossi took the position of Pedrosa and started to chase Zarco, but the french rider from Tech3 was holding his 1st position as he made last year.
Andrea Dovizioso wanted to show that he was ready to start a new battle for the championship and started to overtake his rivals until reaching Marc Marquez. The Italian and the Spaniard overtook at the same time Johann Zarco, who started to lose positions against the other riders while Rins and Lorenzo crashed.
During the final laps Petrucci changed the mapping of his bike to mapping 3 and overook Pedrosa and Zarco, reaching the top 5 of the race while Marquez tried to overtake Dovizioso on the final lap of the race, but the Italian closed the door and crossed the line in first position.
Andrea Dovizioso won the first race of the season with Marc Marquez 2nd and Valentino Rossi 3rd, who will continue with Yamaha for another 2 years. The top 10 was completed with Crutchlow, Petrucci, Viñales, Pedrosa, Zarco, Iannone and Miller.
The next round of the championship will be Argentina in 3 weeks. Stay tuned to know what will happen on a championship that has just started but we that we want how will continue.
