Formula E – 2018 Mexico City EPrix – Race

The Formula E season goes ahead with another change at the championship standings after the Mexico City E-Prix. Daniel Abt took the victory at the Autodromo Hermanos Rodriguez on a race that Mahindra wanted to forget.
Felix Rosenqvist started on pole position, but the Mahindra driver, who had a great pace during the first laps, had problems and stopped his car after the first third part of the race, losing all the positions. After that he stopped the car again a couple of times before going to boxes and change his car… but the problems continued with him and had to retire. The same happened with Nick Heidfeld, who also stopped his car before reaching the pitlane after the car swap.
After that Oliver Turvey was the race leader, but Daniel Abt could overtake him after a great pitstop with Audi, starting to put some time against the British driver from Nio. Sebastien Buemi wanted to get a better position with all his rivals behind him, and during the final laps of the race he was chasing Turvey, but the Nio driver closed the doors well and kept his 2nd position.
On the other side, Lucas Di Grassi who started last, could achieve his first points of the season after overtaking half of the grid twice and taking even the fastest lap of the race.
Daniel Abt won the Mexico City EPrix with Oliver Turvey 2nd and Sebastien Buemi 3rd. The top 10 was completed with Piquet, Vergne, Evans, Da Costa, Mortara, Di Grassi and Lynn.
The next race of the season will be the Punta del Este E-Prix on March 17th. Stay tuned to know all the action of the race with your favorite characters.
