MotoGP – San Marino GP – Race

MotoGP in wet conditions is always a spectacle that put our hearts at the same speed as the bikes, but if we have the weekend with more crahses of the MotoGP history, then we have a race where we have our fingers crossed for the favorite riders of the fans.

As we are used to, Jorge Lorenzo made an awesome start, overtaking all the rivals and taking the lead of the race which was delcared wet, as we saw in Moto3 and Moto2 today.

Petrucci was today on fire and started to overtake also their rivals, reaching Viñales who was in 4th position and with the eyes on the big prize: the victory. Pramac has a great chance to win the race today and they will put the best to do it. Petrucci also overtook Dovizioso and Marquez and started to chase Lorenzo, who crashed a few laps later.

Also a few positions at the back, Crutchlow was chasing Dovizioso and also crashed his bike. The conditions of the race gave us more crashes like the one of Loris Baz who was trying to catch Miller and also a crash for his teammate Hector Barbera.

Smith fought against his teammate and overtook Pol Espargaró and also Iannone, who retired due a problem with his racing suit, and meanwhile we saw how both Aprilia retired after crashing, something that also happened with Rabat, being the 9th crash of the day.

It wasn’t the day for Pedrosa, who lost all the positions that he won at qualifying saw how he was overtook by Crutchlow, a rider who crashed and could return to the race.

During the final laps of the race, Marquez was chasing Danilo Petrucci who wanted his first victory at MotoGP and both riders started a battle of fastest laps with a few woobles of them. On the final lap Marquez overtook Petrucci and took the victory at the San Marino GP.

Marc Marquez won the San Marino GP and he’s again the championship leader. Danilo Petrucci finished second and Andrea Dovizioso finished 3rd. The top 10 was completed with Viñales, Pirro, Miller, Rins, Folger and Smith.

The next round of the championship will be in two weeks at Aragon, third round in Spain for MotoGP and Dovizioso will try to recover the first position of the championship while Marquez will try to increase his advantage.
