Ducati knew this weekend was good for them and they showed that. After being on the first row with both bikes, Lorenzo took the first position after the first turn, something that we’re getting used to on the last races, while Marquez was chased by Dovizioso. Petruci who was using the new aero package, had problems on the start making a wheelie and losing a few positions, while Rossi overtook Viñales at the start.

This race wasn’t good for the Yamaha riders. Viñales had a battle with Rossi, overtaking his teammate, but Zarco was clever than both riders overtaking both of them, something that Pedrosa also made with his Honda, being the fastest man on track during the second part of the race.

Lorenzo was leading the race but had Marquez really close to him. Dovizioso overtook Marquez and the Spaniard could relax a bit, but the number 93 took again his position back and attacked Lorenzo, who was overtaken not only by Marquez, he also lost position with his teammate Dovizioso, who also overtook Marquez thanks to his top speed, but the young rider of Repsol could overtake the other Ducati on the next turn, starting a battle that continued during the rest of the race.

Pedrosa who had a great pace during the second part of the race overtook Lorenzo and was chasing Dovizioso and Marquez, who were having a battle for the victory, but couldn’t attack them because both riders increased their pace on the last laps.

During the final lap Marquez tried to overtake Dovizioso on the last turn on a crazy movement where both riders almost crashed, but luckily both riders could finish the race without problems.

Andrea Dovizioso took his third victory of the season ahead of both Honda riders, being Marquez 2nd and Pedrosa 3rd. The top 10 was completed with Lorenzo, Zarco, Viñales, Rossi, Bautista, Baz and Kallio.

The next round of the championship will be in two weeks at Silverstone. The MotoGP will prepare for one of the most hardest tracks of the season, and also one of the funniest ones. Stay tuned to know what will happen on this exciting championship.
