The Hungarian GP qualifying had surprises for a few teams and high temperatures. Hungaroring will be the last round before the summer break ant the drivers will bring their best to sign their future season in Formula 1, and the best thing is to make a great race this weekend.

The first session of qualifying had a new driver because Felipe Massa felt unwell and Paul Di Resta will replace him during the whole weekend, being his first time with Williams this season. Ferrari started really strong with Sebastian Vettel on first position followed by Verstappen and Raikkonen. The session went without problems but on the last minute Daniil Kvyat made a mistake but the drivers could finish their laps. Vettel finished the first round on first position and we had at the knockout zone Magnussen, Stroll, Wehrlein, Di Resta and Ericsson. Quite interesting to see that Pérez and Magnussen made the same time but Sergio made the lap before him so he finished ahead.

Time for the second round of qualifying and again Vettel was on top followed by Verstappen and Hamilton. The battle for the championship had a new challenger with Verstappen between the two drivers who are fighting for the championship. On the last minute Hamilton improved and finished ahead Sebastian, and with the chequered flag we had at the knockout zone Palmer, Ocon, Kvyat, Pérez and Grosjean.

Last round of the qualifying and the battle between Ferrari and Mercedes was on fire. Sebastian Vettel was on provisional pole after his first attempt while Hamilton didn’t finish his lap after making a mistake. Bottas, Verstappen, Ricciardo and Raikkonen finished on top 5.

Final changes on their cars and the drivers will make their last laps at Hungaroring. Hamilton couldn’t beat the lap of the Ferrari and finished behind his teammate. Vettel also couldn’t improve his lap time, but it was enough for him to continue on pole position while his teammate finished behind him.

Pole position for Sebastian Vettel with Kimi Raikkonen 2nd. First row for Ferrari followed by the Mercedes boys, Bottas and Hamilton. Verstappen, Ricciardo, Hulkenberg, Alonso, Vandoorne and Sainz finished on top 10, but Hulkenberg has a 5 position grid penalty and he will start 12th tomorrow.

The race tomorrow can be for the red boys, but this is Formula 1, where everything can happen so stay tuned for updates and for the best show with the Hungarian Grand Prix.
