F1 – British GP – Race

The British Grand Prix has finished and the championship is on fire after what we saw during the last laps at Silverstone this year. What at first it was a boring race, it become a nightmare for Ferrari, having both of their cars a puncture on the final two laps of the Grand Prix.
Lewis Hamiltons started on pole position at this home Grand Prix, a position that he didn’t lose during the whole race. Max Verstappen made a great start overtaking Sebastian Vettel and having a small battle with him, but the chaos came at the back when Daniil Kvyat lost the control of his car and collided (yes… again) with his teammate Carlos Sainz, making the spaniard to retire and causing a safety car.
Once the race was restarted Daniel Ricciardo made a mistake and lost a lot of positions which recovered really fast showing an awesome pace with his Red Bull at Silverstone, and even reaching the top 10 without problems.
Vettel had a great battle with Verstappen for the podium, overtaking him, but the Red Bull driver didn’t want to lose the position, so he started a thought fight, using even the track limits of Silverstone (but FIA didn’t said anything about it). Verstappen finished ahead so Vettel had to make an undercut to overtake the number 33 of the grid.
On the other side Ricciardo overtook both Force India who had their “brothers” fight, but at least this time they didn’t collide each other.
After his pitstop, Valtteri Bottas showed an awesome pace and overtook Vettel without problems and started to chase Kimi Raikkonen who was really far of him… or at least this is what we thought because Kimi had a puncture on his Ferrari, losing not only the 2nd position, he also lost the 3rd one against Vettel, but the german driver couldn’t be happy because on the next lap he had also a puncture on the same tire and lost 4 positions due that problem.
Lewis Hamilton won the British GP and he’s now 1 point behind Vettel at the championship. Valtteri Bottas and Kimi Raikkonen finished on podium. The top 10 was completed with Verstappen, Ricciardo (who made a great comeback from 19th to 5th), Hulkenberg, Vettel, Ocon, Pérez and Massa.
The next round of the championship will be in two weeks at Hungary, the season is on fire and we’re sure that the next race (which will be the last one before the summer break) will be an awesome battle for the 1st position of the championship.
