MotoGP – Italian GP – Qualifying

The Italian GP is back and the fans of the 46 are becoming crazy thinking of a possible new championship for his rider, but before that, you must defeat the rivals at the qualifying session. We enjoyed a few minutes ago how the fastest riders made their laps at Mugello.

First session of qualifying with Zarco as the favorite rider for finishing on top but the question is who will be with him. The Avintia riders were on top during the first minutes with Zarco still o boxes, waiting for the perfect moment to hit the italian track. Folger become the fastest rider but Petrucci beat him without problems. With a few minutes to the end of the session, Crutchlow and Barbera become the fastest riders on track and Zarco could make the 5th fastest time, but everything changed on the last minute with Zarco and Petrucci being the fastest riders with a great time. Chequered flag and Johann Zarco and Danilo Petrucci finished on top. The low part of the grid was completed with Crutchlow, Barbera, Folger, Iannone, Baz, Pol Espargaro, Miller, Redding, Abraham, Lowes, Smith and Guintoli.

Time to get serious, Pirro who was the wildcard for this race make the fastest lap on his first attemp while Marquez made the 2nd best time thanks also to the references of Lorenzo. Aleix Espargaró was the first rider to crash at Mugello on turn 9. Meanwhile, Petrucci improved and was now on provisional pole position, but Marquez beat him. The italian want the pole at his home race and improved his time and was again on provisional pole, this time with Viñales second.

Final minutes of the session and Bautista stopped the clock as the fastest rider with just 2 minutes for the end, but everyone was improving his time and Viñales improved the time without problems, with Dovizioso 2nd. Chequered flag and Petrucci’s time was cancelled for exceeding track limits at turn 5 meanwhile Viñales finished on top.

Chequered flag and Maverick Viñales took the pole position at the Italian GP with Valentino Rossi and Andrea Dovizioso on first row. The Q2 grid was completed with Pirro, Pedrosa, Marquez, Lorenzo, Bautista, Petrucci, Rabat, Zarco and Aleix Espargaró.
