F1 – Bahrain GP – Race

The Bahrain GP is now history, and Sebastian Vettel won the race with Scuderia Ferrari. The race was a good example of what you shouldn’t do to lose a race.
Valtteri Bottas started on pole for the first time on his career, but he made a slow sting, compacting the group with the first 5 drivers, the problem was that the undercut was flying around the track, and that happened, Vettel and Verstappen made their pitstop and both could overtake their rivals, but Verstappen couldn’t continue because their brakes broke and the Red Bull driver finished his race on the walls, but he didn’t caused the safety car that we saw, it was Stroll who was hit by Carlos Sainz while the spaniard was making his pit exit, with that, the chaos started on the pitlane and both Mercedes drivers entered the pits, but Lewis was driving really slow to avoid losing the position, but he received a 5 second penalty.
After the restart of the race, Vettel started to dominate the race until the end and Bottas couldn’t catch him. About Hamilton, he made a last pitstop with the 5 second penalty and started a last part of race with laps 2 second faster, he could overtake without problems Bottas, but it was impossible to reach Vettel.
About other battles of the race we could talk about Kvyat and Palmer who had two battles with the Toro Rosso driver touching the Renault driver. Fernando Alonso used that battle to make some overtakes to the drivers, but he was losing all the distance on the straights. The spaniard had to retire with just 2 laps left to the end of the race.
Sebastian Vettel won the Bahrain GP with Lewis Hamilton 2nd and Valtteri Bottas 3rd. The top 10 was completed with Raikkonen, Ricciardo, Massa, Perez, Grosjean, Hulkenberg and Ocon.
The next round of the championship will be Sochi in two weeks, the next battle between Mercedes and Ferrari will be on Europe and the Minis will be ready to give you the updates. Stay tuned for more news.
