Bad weather landed to Argentina today for the qualifying session and we had the first wet qualifying session. The first session had some of the favorites riders, so the bets are opens for a great battle during the qualifying.

Jorge Lorenzo was the first rider to go to the track for this first session, he’s one of the favorites for the session with Pedrosa, Dovizioso and Rossi. The slippery and wet track flags were waving around Termas del Rio Hondo, so the riders must take care if they want to make their times without problems. Lorenzo and Zarco were the first riders, but Miller came really fast and made the best time for 0.272 seconds.  Doviziso with his Ducati improved the time in 8 tenths and become now first and dropping Lorenzo to the knockout zone. On the final minutes of the round Redding improved and jumped to the second position. Rossi improved his time but it wasn’t enough to reach the top 2, but Pedrosa could make it and he made the best 2nd time of the session. Chequered flag and Pedrosa could make the best lap of the session on his final lap and he will go to Q2 with Valentino Rossi who also improved on his final lap. The back part of the grid will be formed with Dovizioso, Zarco, Redding, Lorenzo, Miller, Pol Espargaró, Smith, Rabat, Barbera, Lowes and Rins.

Second round of the session and everybody will try to stop Viñales. On their first attemp Marquez made an awesome lap which was more than 1,5 seconds faster than Baz who was second. Pedrosa improved also his time and made the second time, but everything can happen with just the final minutes, even Iannone made a test with slicks, but he pitted again to change the tyres and used the wet compound. Marquez improved his time but the surprise was that Abraham used the read tyre of Marquez to improve his time and made the second best time.

Chequered flag and Marc Marquez took the pole position with Karel Abraham second and Cal Crutchlow 3rd. The rest of Q1 was completed with Petrucci, Pedrosa, Viñales, Rossi, Aleix Espargaró, Baz and Bautista.

Tomorrow the race will be quite interesting with the favorite starting on the back and with the question if it will rain or not. Stay tuned for the next updates and enjoy tomorrow both races.
