MotoGP – Qatar GP – Qualifying

It was like yesterday when MotoGP closed the 2016 season at Valencia and here we are again… More or less. Qatar opened the 2017 MotoGP season, but we couldn’t enjoy the qualifying session due the problems for the rain.
During the whole day rain appeared at Losail International Circuit, something that the track was ready with a new design of the lights… But the major problem was that the whole track was not ready to dry the water, and that caused a lot of delays that finished with the cancellation of all the qualifying sessions.
With that problem, MotoGP decided to use the combination of all the times during the free practices of Thursday and Friday to make the grid for tomorrow’s race at Qatar.
Maverick Viñales achieved his first pole position at MotoGP… Without making a qualifying lap but leading 2 of 3 free practice sessions. Iannone and Marquez will follow him at the first row. The top 10 was completed with Zarco, Dovizioso, Redding, Pedrosa, Folger, Crutchlow and Rossi.
Tomorrow we will have a dry race… or at least this is what we thought because times could change from now to tomorrow. We’ll keep you updated if something changes.
