MotoGP – Aragon GP – Qualifying

MotoGP is back with the third spanish round of the calendar with the Aragon GP at MotorLand Aragon. Want to know what happened at the qualifying that finished a few minutes ago? Keep reading!

New riders for the Aragon Gp with Michele Pirro who will be racing for Andrea Iannone for being injured from the last GP, Alex Lowes who is still racing for Bradley Smith and Nicky Hayden who will be racing for Jack Miller. Both Marc VDS ran off the track after the long straight at their first attempt of lap. Petrucci and Laverty were the fastest riders on their first attempt of lap at MotorLand followed by Bradl, Hernández and Bautista. Close times between every rider and the surprise was given by Bradl and Hernández who took the best times of the session, but Petrucci, Barbera and Bautista were coming really fast, making the italian the best time again. Pirro couldn’t improve because he crashed at turn 8. Chequered flag and Petrucci and Bradl were the fastest riders of the session with Barbera, Bautista, Hernandez, Laverty, Pirro, Rabat, Hayden, Baz and Lowes who would complete the grid.

Time for the second session and Marquez was the favorite for the pole position making a lap time 1.6 faster than Crutchlow who was the second at their first lap followed by Pedrosa. Viñales and Rossi could improve and were second and third. Crutchlow and Lorenzo could improve, but both riders were still too far from Marquez.

After coming to pit, every rider showed what they were made of and Dovizioso could surprise everyone with a second position while Crutchlow crashed at turn 1, Viñales also improved and was second, but no one was able to reach Marc. Pedrosa also crashed when he was chasing Marquez.

Pole position for Marc Marquez who will start the race with Viñales and Lorenzo on first row. The full qualifying grid was completed with Dovizioso, Crutchlow, Rossi, Pedrosa, Aleix, Petrucci, Redding, Pol and Bradl.

Will Marquez win tomorrow? Will Viñales become the surprise or Lorenzo will find the pace and will fight for the victory? We’ll know it tomorrow but until then you know… Be mini-good!
