MotoGP – San Marino GP – Qualifying

We’re back another weekend with the MotoGP San Marino Grand Prix at the Misano World Circuit. Valentino Rossi is riding again at home and he was going to bring his best to his fans and was trying to  take again as much points as possible to Marc Marquez. Wanna know what happened at the qualifying? Keep reading!

Barbera and Petrucci were the fastest riders during the first minutes but the favorites for Q2 were Pirro and Redding, the first because he was riding for Andrea Iannone who crashed during the free practice and was not able to race this weekend. Alex Lowes who was riding for Tech3 become the 2nd fastest rider but Pirro broke the time with the fastest time of the qualifying. Bradl and Barbera were fighting for the second position of the Q1. Chequered flag and the two fastest riders of the first qualifying were Pirro and Barbera while the rest of the grid were completed by Bradl, Lowes, Petrucci, Laverty, Miller, Redding, Rabat, Hernández and Fores.

Time for the second qualifying round and on their first attemp Lorenzo was the fastest rider, but the rest of the grid won’t let the spaniard to take the pole. Marquez was close to Jorge and Rossi who was preparing his attack was 7th. Pirro was 3rd after a great lap. On his second lap improved on 2 tenths and broke his own record of the track from last year.

After the bike change Rossi took the second position, but his lap was cancelled for track limits on turn 16, but he recovered again the 2nd position while Lorenzo improved his lap time. No one was able to beat him but the rest of the riders would try to do their best to reach the first line of the grid.

Pole position for Jorge Lorenzo who broke the record and also could beat Rossi and Marc at the most pole position results at MotoGP. He will be followed by Rossi and Viñales on first row and the rest of the grid was completed with Marquez, Pirro, Dovizioso, Crutchlow, Pedrosa, Aleix, Pol, Barbera and Bautista.

Lorenzo will try to recover some points but Rossi will try to beat his teammate at his home GP. What do you think will happen? We will know it very soon. See you and remember… Be mini-good!
