F1 – Italian GP – Race
The Formula 1 Italian GP is over and the drivers are heading now to Singapore for the next round in two weeks. Maybe the race at Monza was not very exciting, but at least gave us a closer championship for the last 7 rounds of the year.
Lewis Hamilton who started on pole position had an awful start and was overtaken by some drivers, so he had to make a recovery race to reach the first position again, but Nico Rosberg wouldn’t miss the chance to get the victory and become closer to his teammate at the championship.
The first turn is always a place where we see some crashes, but this time the start was really clean between the drivers, but at the second lap Nasr had contact with Palmer and spun, almost crashing with Magnussen. Both Nasr and Palmer had to retire a few laps later, and also Nasr had a 5 seconds penalty for that action, something that we don’t understand because he was retired.
Lewis Hamilton had a battle with Valtteri Bottas who went to boxes and started a spectacle on track overtaking a lot of drivers and also making a double overtake to Button and Sainz. Meanwhile Grosjean had problems with his Pirelli and was overtaken by so many drivers, but he stayed on track trying a different strategy.
At the retirement zone we had to include Wehrlein who was told by his team that he had to stop his car due a problem on his Manor. A few laps later was Kvyat the one who had to retire after also receiving a penalty for speeding at the pitlane.
On the last laps we had the funny touch of McLaren after seeing that Alonso had to pit a couple of laps before the ending of the race, but the reason was because he was trying to get the fastest lap with his McLaren… Yes, it can be a joke, but he made it and at the last lap we saw that McLaren Honda took his first fastest lap at this new era for the team.

Nico Rosberg took the victory at Monza and was followed at the podium for Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel. The top 10 was finished by Kimi Raikkonen, Daniel Ricciardo, Valtteri Bottas, Max Verstappen, Sergio Perez, Felipe Massa and Nico Hulkenberg.
Next round will be in two weeks at Singapore, if Nico Rosberg continues with this pace he can be again the championship leader, but Lewis Hamilton wouldn’t let him do it. What do you think will happen? We’ll know very soon. Be mini-good!
